CodeSkills is the solution for children and young people around the world to learn in the easy way web development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This code editor has the potential to flatten the learning curve for web development and also has the potential for developing programming skills dynamically for young students. Also, those who want to take the lead and teach to the young students, have the advantage to explain it in an easy way to them as a learn as you go methodology.

Technologies

CodeSkills was developed in the following technologies: Django Rest framework for the backend, and React and Tailwidcss for the front, deployed with Heroku and Vercel.

React

React is an open-source, front end, JavaScript library for building user interfaces or UI components. It is maintained by Facebook and a community of individual developers and companies. React can be used as a base in the development of single-page or mobile applications. However, React is only concerned with state management and rendering that state to the DOM, so creating React applications usually requires the use of additional libraries for routing.

Django

Django is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. Built by experienced developers, it takes care of much of the hassle of Web development, so you can focus on writing your app without needing to reinvent the wheel. It’s free and open source.

Heroku

Heroku is a cloud platform as a service supporting several programming languages. One of the first cloud platforms, Heroku has been in development since June 2007, when it supported only the Ruby programming language, but now supports Java, Node.js, Scala, Clojure, Python, PHP, and Go.

Postgres

PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source object-relational database system with over 30 years of active development that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, feature robustness, and performance.
